SantaParadeEventLogo.jpgSanta’s arrival takes place with a parade down Main Street featuring a special Grand Marshal, designer holiday floats, music, horses, and of course, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and live reindeer. After the parade, children are welcome to visit with Santa (families are welcome to take photographs). Entertainment and "make and go” crafts will be provided near the Depot, and food will be available for purchase.

Parade Route:

The Santa Parade begins near the intersection of Park Drive and Main Street. It proceeds south and east down Main Street, marching past Cherokee Street, turning left on Sardis Street. The parade will continue north on Sardis Street, finishing near Big Shanty Road and Cherokee Street (near the Depot).

Best Viewing Locations:
Anywhere along Main Street. Arrive early to ensure a good viewing location. Some spectators arrive as early as 11am. Dress in layers to keep warm (Kennesaw can be quite chilly in December).

Road Closures (during the Santa Parade):

  • Main Street (from Park Drive to Sardis Street)
  • Sardis Street
  • Big Shanty Road (from Sardis Street to Cherokee Street)
  • Cherokee Street (from Main Street to Big Shanty Drive) - closed from 10am-3pm
